Transaction Account Guarantee Program

Effective: June 30, 2010

The Adams County Bank has chosen to opt out of the FDIC Transaction Account Guarantee Program.

Effective June 30, 2010, funds held in noninterest-bearing (Regular Checking Accounts) transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee program. However, these deposits will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

FDIC Insurance Coverage and Bank Branches

For Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) purposes, a depositor's account balance in the the Adams County Bank, will be aggregated with any balances of the depositor in the following offices, branches, or internet sites of the Adams County Bank.

  • Adams County Bank, 401 N. Smith Ave. Kenesaw NE 68956
  • Adams County Bank, Juniata Branch, 1307 N. Brass Ave., Juniata NE 68955
The total account balances of a depositor with the Adams County Bank and its offices and branches will have the benefit of the deposit insurance coverage that the FDIC provides to a depositor's accounts in a single bank. To determine the level of FDIC deposit insurance coverage available on accounts in a single bank, please ask for the FDIC brochure "Your Insured Deposit" or visit www.fdic.gov and in the "Consumer Resources" section, click on "Your Insured Deposit."
